General Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Superclean have any substances harmful to aquatic life?

Although Superclean is biodegradable and not harmful to people or animals if it is directly sprayed into e.g. fish tanks or ponds where there are fish residing, it may be harmful to the aquatic life. It can however be used to clean aquariums and ponds whilst empty, providing they are rinsed thoroughly with clean water, prior to the re-introduction of the fish. When used for cleaning sinks, toilets etc. that involves rinsing with water that goes down the drains.  Here it will be diluted greatly with the rinsing water and water in the drainage systems, so will not be harmful to any aquatic life when it eventually reaches it.

How do Dew SuperHygine, Cleansing Water and Air Deodoriser work?

When these products come into contact with bacteria, they cause an imbalance on the cell surface, breaking down the bacteria's defences, allowing the active ingredient - Hypochlorous Acid- to render it harmless. Dew performs at least 30 times faster than the best household bleach, plus it is also very effective at killing viruses, all without the use of harsh chemicals.

Usage & Storage

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the best place to store Dew?

Dew is best kept in a cool dark place (i.e. cupboard) and in its original container.

How long can I keep Dew before it stops working?

If kept as recommended, Dew will remain active for at least 6 months after opening, maybe even longer. Shelf life is up to 2 years, if unopened and stored in a cool dark storage area. Frequent removal of the cap and left off for longer than necessary periods will reduce this. Avoid unnecessary opening of the (spray) bottles, open only when empty, no need to rinse and refill using our refills or concentrate.

Bottle & Trigger Care

Our bottles are durable and will last much longer than single-use plastic bottles, saving you from throwing plastic into landfill.

Reusing is better for the environment; however, the bottles may outlast the trigger sprays, which both have a limited lifespan, but you can purchase replacement heads or empty bottles on our accessories page. If you use Dew for anything other than domestic use, we do advise upgrading your trigger heads to the commercial trigger sprays.

Air Deodoriser Tips

When refilling, for best results, put the bottle on a hard surface for stability, line the arrow on the Air head with the vertical line on the bottle neck, push down, then twist to the left to lock the mechanism. Your Air Deodoriser is now ready to reuse.

Try not to let the liquid run out as this can create an air lock, resulting in the trigger not working. If this happens, please refill the bottle and pump continuously for a few minutes (this can take up to 5 minutes). If the spray still doesn’t work, please wait 24 hours, and retry.
